Windows 8.1 Release Date

Microsoft has announced the release date for Windows 8.1: the digital download will be available on October 17, with a full retail launch on October 18. I will continue to update this as more info becomes available.

I upgraded to Windows 7 about two weeks ago now on my 2 year old Dell Precision m6300 and it was a great decision, Microsoft appears to resolve all the issues I had with Vista, such as delays when copying, or right clicking on a file and seeing serious delays, issues with outlook timing out, all these have gone away, but the most significant change is the application grouping on the taskbar, I am able to work much more efficiently as oppose to flipping though screen I can now mouse over and select the application I want on my desktop, I normally have numerous connections open so this saves me a lot of hassle.
